4. Introducing Lattice

As there are significant drawbacks to either adopting enterprise CDC solutions or creating a DIY solution, Lattice was developed to sit in the middle ground. Lattice is an open-source, user-friendly framework designed to enable straightforward setup of a streaming CDC pipeline that can broadcast them to one or more data stores for analysis.

introducing lattice

Lattice is deployed in a user’s own AWS infrastructure with a simple CLI application. Lattice provides an easy-to-use UI to configure a variety of sources and the consumers that subscribe to topics. Lattice provides an easy-to-use pipeline that supports ClickHouse as a first-class sink through Kafka Connect for analytics. In addition, Lattice keeps the pipeline open to other consumers within the user’s infrastructure, like S3, warehouses like BigQuery or RedShift. By making the immediate analytics easy and avoiding locking in operational data into a single store, Lattice positions itself as a pragmatic and flexible option for teams.
